About me
Hey up, I’m Bob, founder of The Wild Adoptees.
I was relinquished at birth, which my Birth Mother said she had no choice about, in foster homes for a little bit, then adopted around this age >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Like most of us I’m still trying to find the truth and my full records!!
I wanted to help my community, but didn’t know how I could or what that looked like. I went on my own inward journey to work out what helped me along the way and I realised I’d been in nature as much as I could throughout my life.
I’ve lived on and off grid, in and out of vehicles, dillied and dallied along the way but always doing something, whether creative or not, and always surrounded by nature.
So The Wild Adoptees concept was born.
We know Nature calms the nervous system, plenty of studies out there to prove it, but also for us being around other adoptees and relinquished folks who just get it, makes the world of difference.
So I thought, yep, that’s it, that’s what needs to happen… and here we are!!
The Wild Adoptees
We are a community of adult adoptees who have discovered the vital role nature plays in our healing journeys. Rooted in connection with the Earth and with one another, we create spaces to explore, express, and grow together.
Through land-based creativity, activity, and reactivity, we invite our community to step into new experiences — weaving, crafting, moving, and releasing — all in the grounding safety of the natural world. Our aim is to empower adoptees to find healing, strength, and belonging through and with nature.
